Sweet things made
to feel like you.
Bespoke cakes, cookies and sweet treats, thoughtfully handcrafted for birthdays, weddings and everything worth celebrating.

A little art. A lot of joy.
From sculptural petals and delicate piping to personalised cookies and cupcakes, every DNA Bakehouse creation is made to belong to its celebration.

Meet DNA Bakehouse.
DNA Bakehouse was founded in 2021 by Diana Phakathi. What began as a love for baking has grown into a Johannesburg bakehouse creating bespoke celebration cakes, cookies and sweet treats with a distinctly elegant DNA — refined, playful and personal.
Every order is made with intention, from the flavour and finish to the smallest detail of the design.

What we collect and why
The enquiry form collects your name, WhatsApp number, email address, event date, product preferences, order details and any reference photo you choose to upload. Required fields help us respond and assess your request; without them, you cannot submit this form. Reference photos and other fields marked optional are voluntary. Where your enquiry goes
Submissions and reference photos are sent to and stored by Basin, our form service, and may also be delivered to our business email. We may follow up by email or WhatsApp. These services process information under their own privacy terms and may process it outside South Africa. Our hosting provider also processes technical information such as IP addresses and browser details to deliver and protect the site. Google Fonts supplies the fonts used on these pages.
Your enquiry and contact details are not published on this website. We use them for your enquiry and order, rather than automatically signing you up for marketing. Sharing a reference photo for a quotation does not give us permission to publish that photo.
Security and retention
The website and enquiry form use HTTPS to encrypt information in transit. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Enquiry and order information should be retained only for as long as needed to handle the request, fulfil an order and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. Copies held in Basin, email and messaging services may have different retention periods. Contact us to request deletion; records required by law may need to be retained.
Your choices
You can ask to access or correct your information, request deletion where permitted, or object to its use by emailing info@dnabakehouse.co.za. We may need to confirm your identity before responding. You can also raise a privacy complaint with South Africa’s Information Regulator at enquiries@inforegulator.org.za.
